Happy New Year!

It’s been a whirlwind of completing our second full year of operation and now rolling hard into the third. I really want to thank all of the handler’s that have made this possible, and for the back and fourth of insights that lead to developments that allow me to design and build better gear. This is a very small, one person, company and when you or another handler gives me feedback, it is taken into consideration and often directly reflected in the gear in short order. This does play out in big and small ways on my end. As you can imagine, with how small the workforce of one person is to complete all the operational tasks of a business, keeping up with production demand while still developing new gear, packing and shipping, answering communications, updating the website and social media. making appearances, sweeping the floor… you get it! This is going to be the year (I hope) of some small expansion with the plan to bring in an apprentice to learn the ropes and bring a new dynamic to my business. To be honest, it’s going to be hard to find the right individual that encompasses what’s required in a business like this, but I’m excited for where it could take us.

One other thing I want to touch on as we kick in the door on 2025. I’ve learned so much from operating this (my first) small business. It’s really reframed my understanding of what small business owners work though and work for, on their mission to stay afloat, serve their patrons, give back, build better, deliver on-time, feed their families. I won’t get into all the nitty-gritty of business at this small scale, but it’s no easy task, and my appreciation for anyone running their own business has been cemented. I KNOW we’re all teeter-tottering on balancing our financial situation, but If you’re in the position to support any small businesses at any level, please consider spreading it around. Your purchase of whatever product or service that person/business provides directly impacts their lives, and you’re guaranteed to get the best service possible. It really matters. I will do what I can to help out and give back as well.

Thanks again for working with me so that I can design and build gear for you. 2025 is no doubt going to be a heck of a year, and I plan to hit it head on.
